It’s 8 months since I returned to the UK from India.

I thought I’d be returning to a cool and temperate climate. But June has been breaking records for it temperatures, and a ‘hose ban’ is imminent. It reminds me of the Summer of 1976 where swathes of the British countryside became parched and brown.

However, the delight of the visitors to the garden, and the shapes and colours of the foliage are wonderful…
